The Pertex Shield construction combines lightweight fabric with a waterproof, breathable, and windproof membrane, enhanced with a durable water-repellent (DWR) coating that sheds rain and snow during your adventures. Equipped with full-length two-way water-resistant zippers, the side openings function as a ventilation system to optimize airflow. A combination of features—such as the gusseted crotch for unrestricted movement, built-in gaiters that keep water and debris out of your footwear, and reinforced lower panels that resist abrasion from crampons—supports your mobility across various terrains. Care Instructions

  1. Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold or lukewarm water (max 30°C).

  2. Use a mild liquid detergent — avoid powder detergent, fabric softener, or any bleach-based products.

  3. Close all zippers, snaps, and adjusters before washing.

  4. Do not bleach.

  5. Do not dry clean, as this may damage the membrane and DWR coating.

  6. Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry. Low tumble drying can help reactivate the DWR finish.

  7. Do not iron directly. If needed, use very low heat with a protective cloth, avoiding membrane and plastic trims.

  8. Reapply a DWR spray when water no longer beads on the surface (optional, depending on use).

  9. Wash only when necessary to maintain membrane performance and prolong garment life.
